Alessandria will celebrate its 857th birthday, paying tribute to those who, with passion, commitment, and dedication, have brought prestige to the community.

During an open City Council meeting at Palazzo Rosso, the prestigious Gagliaudo d'Oro was awarded. It represents the city's official recognition of its most deserving citizens.

This fifteenth edition of “SME Day” shone a spotlight on the agri-food industry and was hosted by IDA, a company based in San Giuliano Nuovo specializing in dehydrated vegetables for the food sector.

On May 21st, students and teachers from the “Volta” Institute of Alessandria, specifically class 5AI—this year’s winners of “La Tua Idea d’Impresa”—visited the IDA facility. They were welcomed by Pietro Gemma, Vice President of IDA.

The open day was held in spring to better align with the company's unique production cycle.

With a strong tradition and deep roots, IDA is a leader in the dried vegetable industry, especially spinach and parsley, which it exports to over 40 countries worldwide.
